Sometimes there is a need of C-section to deliver the baby. The extra sugar in the body leads your placenta to make extra insulin and as a result, the baby gains much weight.
It can be about 9 pounds and more. The pregnant lady can develop early labor and sometimes the baby is delivered after the given date. Early delivery is also recommended by doctors if the weight of the baby is large. All the babies who born early due to gestational diabetes can develop respiratory distress syndrome due to which the baby finds it difficult to breathe.
