All types of saturated and Trans fats should be avoided. Chicken and fish should be cooked without skin. It is a better idea to grill then instead of deep frying them. If you want to eat red meat then it is important to choose lean cuts. You can take fish twice a week but you can not apply any batter on it for frying it. You should have proper knowledge about dairy products.

Choose skim milk and dairy products with fat reduced to 1%.Avoid taking alcohol. If you have a family history of diabetes then it is more important to reduce weight so that you can not be a future patient with diabetes. Regular exercise and the physical workout are more than necessary for people with diabetes along with diet.
